The main idea of this reform is to produce more internationally competitive lawyers to prepare for the 21st century and to increase the quality of legal services to the Korean people by increasing the number of lawyers. To ensure the success of the law school system in Korea, I suggest that we review the appropriate number of lawyers in Korea by examining current and future needs using scientific and economic methods. If there is a university where law professors develop excellent legal documents or case reports, the university should also have weight in the reassessment of the approved program or the additional approval process. As for the new Korean Bar Examination, it should include basic and basic legal theories in each subject. Overly difficult or trivial theories in subjects should not be the key to deciding whether or not candidates pass the exam. If Korea establishes distance law schools with lower tuition fees and costs than regular law schools, the poor class can study law under the new system and become lawyers. The two-year practical training after graduation may be too burdensome for newly admitted lawyers. Practical training such as associate summer programs or clerkship programs during the law school years would be sufficient for this purpose. Since every education system has its strengths and weaknesses, Korean society should closely monitor the functioning of the law school system.
